Wandering In The Oldest District In Accra: JamestownMonday, September 26, 2016
So I still have a few articles to share in regards to my trip to Ghana. By the way I have some really exciting news that I will share this week. I. can't. wait. to. tell.you! This is going to be amazing! I will share the news with y'all this week!
Exploring new different parts of Accra is something that keeps me excited. I've been to the city quite a few times and whenever I go there, I discover something new. These pictures were taken in the oldest parts of Accra called Jamestown which is known also known as the fishing center of the city. This area still has buildings that date back from the Atlantic Slave Trade. When you walk around this area, you will find a lot of graffiti work as well. This area is where they also hold one of the most popular festival called Chale Wote which is a annual street art festival with the purpose of bringing art, music, culture and dance into the streets. I managed to find those colorful street arts & used them as backdrops for these pics. Shout out to those creatives who made those pieces of art! Very talented! Have a look.
