A very big welcome to all of you guys. It’s been a minute since I’ve posted a new article on It’s True Blog. However I’m back today to share a little bit more about My Visit To The SOS Children’s Villages in Ghana.
So if you guys remember my New Year’s article, one of the things that I said that I wanted to do this year is to give back. It’s always been on my mind to be involved with charity. I want to be able to acknowledge that my given resources have reached the people who its meant for. While brainstorming on what and which charity to give to, I asked my dad for ideas. He proposed SOS Children’s Villages. This international organisation focuses on supporting children without parental care. They have a few SOS Villages here in Ghana and we decided to go up to the one in Asiakwa. which is also the village where my dad grew up. So I decided to supply them with food and toiletries.
I didn’t know what to expect as I’ve never been to a children’s home before. It was so amazing to see the kids being and feeling loved. I have to give major credits to the ”mothers” that are taking care of the kids and making them feel like they are part of a big family. It was beautiful to see how the kids were running around filled with joy and laughter. I really want to share this moment with you guys too so please check out the vlog below… oh and if you haven’t yet subscribed my channel, I love if you did!
